Interview

Do you surf?

Yes

Favorite thing about shooting?

How much I enjoy it. It’s just fun.

How did you learn to shoot surf photography?

Just did it. We had a SoBe swell, three days after I bought my first dSLR.

Shooting set-up?

Canon 20D (It’s the only one that fits in my SPL housing, so I have to keep it.)

How can the surf community help you?

Get others to follow me on Instagram, LOL.

Best day ever?

Shooting or just living, LOL?

Looking forward to…

A trip to Ecuador, next month. My parents are from there.

Words of Wisdom?

“If you live long enough, you SHOULD regret something you’ve done. Otherwise, you’re probably a self-absorbed jerk.”

Best travel experience?

The Basque Coasts of France and Spain.

Surf photography is…

almost like going to church, for me. I don’t think people realize how much of a reflective, personal moment I am having, when I am out taking water shots.

Shout outs?

Mark Hill, from ESM and Matt Clark, my favorite surf/wave photographer.
